"German" ist der richtige Selbstlernkurs sowohl für Lerner, die noch kein Wort Deutsch verstehen als auch für alle, die Ihre Deutschkenntnisse vertiefen und festigen möchten. Die bewährte Assimil-Methode basiert auf dem Prinzip des natürlichen Assimilierens, d.h. man lernt eine Fremdsprache auf ganz ähnliche Weise, wie man schon als Kind die eigene Muttersprache erlernt hat. Die Methode ermöglicht es, sich Grammatik und Wortschatz ohne lästiges Auswendiglernen anzueignen. Das Lehrbuch ist komplett in englischer Sprache verfasst, wobei den deutschen Dialogtexten und Übungen die entsprechenden Übersetzungen und Erklärungen gegenüberstehen. Die verwendete Lautschrift wurde speziell an die Bedürfnisse des englischen Lerners angepasst.
Die in der Box enthaltenen CDs enthlten alle deutschsprachigen Tonaufnahmen (Lektionen, Dialoge und Verständnisübungen). Die Aufnahmen wurden ausschließlich mit Muttersprachlern (allesamt professionelle Sprecherinnen und Sprecher) produziert. Die Sprechgeschwindigkeit ist dem jeweiligen Lektionsniveau angepasst. Insgesamt enthalten die CDs 180 min. Tonaufnahmen.
A course for beginners and for revision. After a few weeks, you will be able to build your first sentences in German and within a few months, your passive vocabulary (the words you can understand) will include over 2000 words. In about a year, a good third of this vocabulary will have become assimilated enough to be part of your active vocabulary (the words you can use in speech). As for the grammar itself, you will assimilate it intuitively, progressively, just as a child learns his mother tongue.
